Why trust these picks
For more than a decade I ran Nutphree's Bakery, a 100% peanut and tree nut free commercial bakery in the Chicago suburbs. Our cupcakes and treats grew from my home kitchen to more than 450 stores across the Midwest, including Whole Foods, Jewel-Osco, and Mariano's.
Running a nut-free facility taught me how much goes on behind a label: where ingredients come from, what shares a line, and what changes without notice. The bakery is closed now, but that experience is what goes into every guide here.
